Character history:

This Six is one of many copies of the Number Six Cylon model. In the Cylon Invasion, she was given a very important task: to be the first and last “diplomat” ever sent to the Armistice Station. This act was the first of the invasion that eventually led to the near extinction of the human race.

Six, however, was absent for most of what happened during the invasion, as her original body was destroyed when the Armistice Station was destroyed. When she eventually downloaded into a new body, the majority of the attack was over, however she soon discovered that some humans had survived. The basestar that Six was on was assigned the task of seeking the destruction of the Battlestar Pegasus, which had become a nuisance to the Cylons as it continued to attack them, instead of fleeing as the other group of human survivors had done. This mission ended in failure, however, as the Pegasus eventually joined with the other group.

The Cylons continued to hunt the remaining humans. At the same time however, questions were beginning to be asked about whether or not the decision to destroy humanity had been the right one. Six was especially swayed by the arguments of one of her sister Cylons, who became known as CapricaSix. In light of the idea that humans and Cylons might one day live together in peace, Six was one of those who pushed for settlement on the planet known as New Caprica.

This was a decision she quickly came to regret. Six’s body was destroyed three times as a result of the human resistance movement and each time was more painful an experience than the last. By the time the fleet returned and the human settlers were rescued, Six was glad to see them go. She would have been happy at that point in time to write them off completely, but the thought of vengeance and a quest for a new home and beginning eventually led to her once again supporting the chase to destroy the human race.

Everything changed again, however, when a Six who called herself Natalie began to appeal for change within the Cylon community. While Six had misgivings about some of the actions, she was not willing to go against her model and so voted with them to stop the lobotomizing of the Raiders. This decision by the Sixes, together with the Twos and the Eights, led to the beginning of a civil war among the Cylons. The basestar with both Six and Natalie onboard was almost destroyed, only to be later found by a group of humans led by Kara Thrace. This set in motion the decision to not only join with the humans but for the active seeking of the Final Five Cylon models, something that had been prohibited before. Even worse than all of this however was the decision to reveal the location of the Resurrection Hub to the humans and to actively seek its destruction, thus ending the cycle of Cylon rebirth.

Again, Six had her doubts. But at this point she had no choice but to follow Natalie and the rest of the rebels in their quest. Even after Natalie’s death, her path remained unchanged and she took part in the mission, piloting a Heavy Raider against the Hub, and was there when it was finally destroyed.

And then they discovered Earth, a barren planet worthless to human and Cylon alike.

Character personality:

Like all of her line, Six is very confident and highly sexual. She also originally had a fascination with humanity, whom Cylons viewed as their parents. Upon encountering a human for the first time, she demanded to know if he was alive and kissed him in order to find out.

At the beginning, Six was fearless. She knew she would resurrect and she had faith in the Cylon Plan. But as things progressed that went against the vision she had for the future, her faith in these things began to unravel. She secretly questioned if this was truly what God intended for them to do. And then she questioned her own questioning, after she had suffered through the ordeal of New Caprica.

Outwardly, Six still projects the same confidence as always. But inside she has become filled with doubt and confusion over how to act because of it.
